Have you been feeling stuck in a rut? Has your daily routine become mundane? Are you feeling hopeless or worried about a variety of areas in your life? Have your social and romantic relationships started to become strained… or maybe your relationships have felt strained for some time now? Maybe you have been having a hard time accepting yourself for who you are, or maybe you do not have a real understanding of your true self?

If you are feeling unsatisfied with your current life story it may be time to start working toward future chapters. You are the main character of your life, and as a counselor I am here to empower you and encourage you to take time to consider the narrative you have created for yourself. It may be time to consider if your current life story is serving you. My core values as a counselor include creating an empathic and non-judgemental space where clients can address root causes of insatisfaction or conflict in their life. Together we will work on addressing thoughts and patterns that no longer serve your highest self, and identify new strategies to help you manage both internal and external stressors. As a counselor I utilize tools from a variety of counseling approaches. I employ different strategies and tailor them to the goals of my clients. My overarching belief is my clients are experts of their own life and possess all the tools they need to meet their goals and create change. My role as a counselor is to act as a support to facilitate growth.

I am passionate about working with individuals. I have a special interest in working with adolescents and young adults who are working through depression, borderline personality disorder, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. I also feel connected to clients experiencing perfectionism, academic concerns, low self esteem, relationship, and interpersonal conflict. My other areas of interest include strengthening family dynamics. You may feel that your family system is transitioning and you are looking for new ways to connect and grow as a unit. I enjoy working with families through parent-child relationship counseling, sibling counseling.

My name is Brynna Pechous. I am in my last semester at the University of Houston-Clear Lake where I am finishing my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am passionate about providing holistic mental health services for my community. Outside of school I enjoy spending time outdoors hiking, camping, and horseback riding.

If you think we may be a good fit please reach out to me and schedule a free 15-minute phone consultation.
