The hardest and bravest step anyone can take is to reach out and ask for help. I am passionate about helping individuals and families overcome any challenge and move toward positive change. It is important for me to create a nonjudgmental and sensitive environment for each of my clients.
My philosophy stems from the premise that every individual, couple, and family has strengths and capabilities that can be developed to help them attain and sustain a healthier lifestyle. I take a collaborative approach to therapy and my services are tailored to meet the unique needs of each client. I strive to maintain a safe and empathic environment where the client is the expert and I understand the importance of collaborating with family members and professionals involved in the lives of those with whom I work. Treatment plans and goals are identified collaboratively by myself and each client to attain the desired outcome and successfully complete treatment. Every client is treated with courtesy, consideration, respect, and with the recognition of every person's dignity, individuality, and the right to privacy.

I have extensive experience in child and adolescent counseling with the use of Play Therapy techniques, parent training/coaching, and foster families.  My primary approach in couples sessions is Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) techniques. EFT is empirically supported and can help people address attachment-related insecurities and learn how to interact with their romantic partners in more loving, responsive, and emotionally connected ways, which can result in a more secure attachment.

It is my hope and honor that I might be the right person to help you or a loved one; or assist in ensuring the best therapeutic relationship is attained.
