Life does not always go the way we plan it. Sometimes life can hit hard and, at times, it can feel overwhelming. Occasionally, we may find ourselves in a challenging life transition, struggling to adjust to a new marriage or marriage difficulties, a new baby, a blended family, or an empty nest, a job promotion, a job loss, or retirement, or the loss of a loved one. At other times in life, we may find ourselves stuck in unproductive and negative patterns, looking for solutions. I understand how difficult it can sometimes be to reach out for help and I strive to offer a safe, non-judgmental, and empowering space for my clients. I like to think of therapy as a lighthouse, a beacon offering hope and a safe place in life’s storms. I believe that difficult times in our lives give us an opportunity to learn what our strengths are and how to use them to grow.

I am passionate about working with individuals including adolescents and aging adults, couples, and families who are facing life’s storms, adjusting to life transitions, or are simply ready to make positive changes in their lives. I believe that my clients are the experts on their lives; therefore, I enjoy working collaboratively with them to establish and actively pursue their goals. My therapeutic approach stems from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Therapy. I have experience working with clients on issues such as anxiety, depression, self-esteem, coping skills, family conflict, communication skills, grief, life coaching, and spirituality. I have also presented extensive research at State Conferences speaking on the topics of Assessment and Treatment of Grief in Children and Families as well as Terminal Illness and Family Therapy.

While I understand that choosing a therapist is not a choice made lightly, I would be honored to have the opportunity to walk alongside you through your therapeutic journey.
