Her approach toward relationships is with compassion for whatever family dynamic you are in or have come from in your childhood. She will explore your life together to understand the areas that may need some help or just a little improvement. She operates from a holistic, systemic perspective in viewing entire relationship systems.  Her goal during each session is to achieve an empathic and respectful connection with her clients.  Each session will be very individualized, using various psychological therapeutic approaches such as the Gottman Method based on 40+ years of couples research in what makes marriages succeed or fail, Family Systems Theory, and Narrative Therapy.

She is here to help you talk through your personal, private issues in a safe, accepting, supportive, comfortable, and collaborative environment. Her goal is to help clients understand their emotions and how their own individual perspectives and past may contribute in whether their relationships either work or fail. Her approach is to help clients identify patterns of communication that can lead to core issues or problems within their relationships. She assists each client in developing new strategies to achieve clarification and honesty within themselves. She specializes in family and divorce mediationchild and adolescent therapy, couples therapy, premarital or marriage counseling, divorce counseling, parenting and co-parenting counseling, elder counseling, and always as a priority - family therapy.

For couples sessions, she follows the empirically based Gottman Method which encompasses 40 years of research on couples and marriage. She help couples in slowing down their interactions of communication to reveal deeper intimacy. Her experience includes working with couples, children, adolescents, elders, and families.

The length of her therapy together with you will be determined by your specific needs and goals. In the course of her work together, you will establish points at which to evaluate your satisfaction and progress.

In addition to being a prominent relationship therapist, Rebecca has a unique extensive 19 year career background working at NASA\Johnson Space Center as a flight controller in the Mission Control Center. She has also presented extensive research specifically on topics such as abuse and autism at National Conferences and to general audiences speaking on the topics of marriage and family relationships.  She has particularly worked with children through the Brazoria County Alliance for Children in Pearland and Angleton, couples and families at The Center for Couples and Families as well as at The Center for Relationship Wellness in Friendswood.

She provides counseling, and family and divorce mediation for the League City, Dickinson, Friendswood, Webster, South Shore, Clear Lake, NASA, Kemah, and Seabrook surrounding areas.  She would be honored to help you work through your most private issues either through alternative dispute resolution (adr) mediation or in therapy.
